Accounting Malpractice

Accountant Malpractice Leads to Audit

I live in New York and I hired an accountant for the first time this year. In the past I’ve handled all my taxes because they were fairly easy. I am a small business owner and I felt a need to hire an accountant do to my schedule. I received a letter last week regarding my company under an audit. I have several other friends that use this guy and they received the same letter. This is a huge inconvenience to me and I now have to show all receipts, statements etc. which I don’t have. This is going to cost me big time because unfortunately I can’t produce all this information (I’m horrible at keeping records which is a downfall). I spoke to one of my friends today and they told me that the accountant was doing some shady things and as a result all of his clients are going to get audited by the IRS.

I’ve never intentionally cheated on my taxes and never before have been audited by the IRS. They have asked me to produce all this paperwork which I can’t produce and unfortunately I’m going to be stuck with a huge bill, penalties and fines. I have know idea exactly how much money this is going to cost me. My friend told me that he is hiring an attorney because this is crazy. I am not in the financial position to hire legal counsel at this time however I think I will probably go down this same route. I would ask if this would be a type of case in which your company could potentially fund?

Alaska Legal Financing Laws

I was told that Alaska’s laws for legal financing is different than some of the other states? Can you let me know if I have a personal injury case pending and live in Alaska could I get a loan or not? If so would you be able to look at a case involving malpractice?

Accounting Malpractice

I have a lawsuit against my accounting for malpractice. I am looking to secure a cash advance to help me pay for my legal bills. I’ve applied with several companies and each won’t consider my case because I don’t have my lawyer retained on a contingent basis he is on an hourly rate. Do you have lenders within your network that would consider providing me with a cash advance based upon the information I’ve just given?
