Lawsuit Cash Advance
No Risk Legal Funding
If you are searching for legal funding you probably have heard the term “no risk legal funding” and perhaps you need to fully understand what this means. The term “no risk” means that there is no risk to the plaintiff when securing lawsuit funding. No risk means that if you obtain a lawsuit loan against your case and you lose your lawsuit, you are not obligated to pay back the lawsuit loan. Another term that we use in the litigation financing industry for the term of no risk is non recourse funding.
1. What is “no risk funding” ie. non recourse funding?
No risk legal funding ie. non recourse funding is securing a lawsuit cash advance with the understanding that if you lose you claim, you don’t have to repay the advance.
2. Is there really a risk of obtaining financing against you lawsuit?
While there is no risk in having to pay back the settlement advance if you lose your case, there is a risk of obtaining an advance at a high rate. For most clients, obtaining a lawsuit settlement loan will be secured at a compounded rate. This means that the rate of your advance will increase on a monthly basis. If you obtain an advance at a high compounded rate, you will receive less money at the closure of your case.
3. How do you minimize the risk of obtaining financing at a high rate?
There are dozens of companies that provide legal funding against pending and settled claims. The best financing is always that of a minimum rate. While many companies advertise “lowest rates in the industry” it’s highly unlikely that each company provides the same rate ie. the lowest rate. At LawLeaf we have the reputation in the industry of providing some of the most competitive rates. We are always aware that each client regardless of how desperate they may be, deserve funding at a competitive rate. In order to minimize the risk of obtaining a high risk legal loan, you should be represented by a company that has the reputation and the wherewithal of obtaining such rates.
4. Make sure to read over the agreement prior to accepting an advance.
If you secure no risk legal funding make sure that indeed there is no risk to paying back the advance if you lose your claim.
The litigation financing industry is becoming more popular each year. There are dozens of hedge funds and private funds that come and go within the industry. It’s important that you work with an experienced company that has tenure within the industry; however equally important that you work with a company that has the reputation of securing the most competitive rates within the legal funding industry.

Auto Accident Lawsuit Advance in Baltimore
LawLeaf recently received an application from a plaintiff that lives in Baltimore, MD. The plaintiff was involved in an auto accident in Baltimore and was searching for a lawsuit cash advance against their claim. The lawsuit which was filed around 6 months ago was nearing the settlement stage. Over the last 6 months the plaintiff had been receiving physical therapy treatments. The attorney recommended ongoing medical and physical therapy treatments to ensure the client would not settle the case without being fully recovered from the injury. It is important that prior to reaching a settlement with the insurance company you seek the necessary medical & physical therapy treatments because once settled the claimant gives up the right for future compensations for the injury.
Question: If the plaintiff decides to receive a lawsuit cash advance against the case, do they need to be employed and will the lender run credit checks etc?
Unlike a standard bank loan or a payday loan, a lawsuit cash advance is not based upon credit or employment status. A lawsuit cash advance is based upon the strength of the case. If a client decides to apply for lawsuit funding the lender will only be interested in the lawsuit. This means the lender will provide an advance only if they believe the client will receive compensation from the claim. If the lender believes there is clear liability, chances are the plaintiff will receive an advance against the lawsuit.
Question: If you receive a lawsuit cash advance will you have to pay back the advance if you lose the claim?
A lawsuit cash advance against an automobile accident will always be non recourse with LawLeaf. This means if you lose your case, you will not be obligated to pay back the loan.
What are the rates for a lawsuit cash advance against an auto accident in Baltimore?
If a case has already reached settlement the rates are generally better. This is because there is less risk on the part of the lender. If you are applying for pre settlement funding for an auto accident, the rates are generally higher than settled cases however lower than most other personal injury related claims.
If you are searching for a lawsuit settlement advance in Baltimore, apply with LawLeaf today. For additional information on car accident lawsuit funding contact LawLeaf today.

Why Apply for a Lawsuit Cash Advance
If you are currently evaluating a lawsuit cash advance begin by applying with LawLeaf. LawLeaf is a lawsuit funding company that provides lawsuit cash advances throughout the United States. We recently provided information regarding low personal injury settlement offers. When a victim has been involved in a personal injury we believe they have the right to full compensation for damages. This means that the plaintiff’s expenses including pain and suffering should be paid out in full by the defense. The concept of obtaining a lawsuit cash advance against a lawsuit that has yet been settled is fairly new. Years ago plaintiffs had no option but to settle their case if they couldn’t financially wait for a fair settlement. When companies began offering lawsuit cash advances prior to a case reaching a settlement it began leveling the playing field.
Insurance companies are against the concept of pre settlement cash advances because they know it could mean the difference of paying out full compensation to the plaintiff instead of a percentage of the full value of the lawsuit. By giving the plaintiff another option to early settlement it could ultimately increase the payout to the plaintiff and lower the profit margins of the major insurance companies.
Why apply for a lawsuit cash advance?
- If a plaintiff is not willing to settle their claim because the offer is too low a person may consider securing a lawsuit cash advance.
- If the plaintiff is weeks or months from a settlement offer a person may consider securing a lawsuit cash advance
- If an insurance company is unwilling to offer a settlement because they believe they will win the claim
- The settlement offer has been agreed upon but the plaintiff will not receive payment for several more months
- If a plaintiff is getting paid through a structured settlement and they need a structured settlement cash advance to help pay for immediate expenses
If you are searching for a lawsuit cash advance regardless of the reason, begin by applying online with LawLeaf today.

How Lawsuit Loan Rates Are Determined
We receive questions on a daily basis regarding lawsuit funding rates. “If I apply for lawsuit funding with LawLeaf can you give me a general range of the types of rates I’m borrowing against?” This is a very tough question to answer because each case tends to be different. If we had to give a general range of the rates we get our clients they would fall anywhere from 2.5% to 3.5% compounded monthly. This is just an average range based upon our approval process.
We do not have one underwriter that can give us an exact number for our clients without looking at the claim. We may be able to ball park a rate but we can’t and shouldn’t ever give a set rate without evaluating the claim. The main reason is at the end of the process the rate could be higher. Quite frankly it’s almost impossible without looking at the case documentation.
When an underwriter looks at a request they will make a decision on an approval based upon the strength of the case. This means if there is clear liability there is a strong likelihood you will receive a cash advance against the lawsuit. If there is clear liability chances are you will also receive lower rates on the advance. The only way an underwriter can determine liability is by reviewing the case documents and speaking with the attorney.
The reason why our underwriters put so much stock into case documents is because all pre settlement lawsuit loans are non recourse. This means you only pay back the settlement loan if you win compensation from your claim. If they incorrectly look at a case they could be putting money into a lawsuit that may never settle. This means they will lose their investment. It may be surprising on how many of our clients have gotten advances against their lawsuit and the case never settled or they lost the verdict.
We work with an array of different underwriters who all look at claims differently. For instance there are some underwriters that will look at commercial litigation cases while some won’t. There are underwriters who will take about 50% of all personal injury claims while others may be interested in the other 50%. The areas in personal injury and commercial litigation are extensive and some underwriters may be familiar with different types of cases such as car accidents and wrongful death claims. There may be others who are more versed in slip and fall and workers compensation claims. The understanding that each underwriter may look at a claim differently should provide you with the understanding that the rates for each underwriter could be different as well as the approval itself.
The challenge that any plaintiff faces is figuring out which company will provide them with the lowest rates against their case. If you have never gone through the lawsuit funding process you may be hard pressed to find an exact match. If a person has immediate needs and counting on a lawsuit cash advance, time is surely not on their side. One of the main reasons why LawLeaf has been successful is our ability to distinguish between the different types of lawsuits. We have a pretty good idea based upon the preliminary information we receive which lender(s) will provide the better rates and faster turnarounds for your request. We also understand which lender(s) will actually look at your case.
We know if a company provides you with an up front rate and the rate comes back twice as much as what was quoted it could turn into a very ugly process. This is because plaintiffs that are searching for lawsuit funding typically have an immediate financial need. A company that provides them with a lower quote upfront understands the plaintiff is less likely to shop their claim. When the approval comes back and the rate is higher there is still a strong likelihood the client will accept the loan because the client needs the money now.
LawLeaf is a client centric company that understands the needs of our customers. We have been and will always be a company that demands the lowest rates for our clients. We have gained our reputation because we are always up front with our clients throughout the lawsuit funding process. We feel if we provide set rates to our prospective clients that are lower than the approval it could negatively affect our reputation within the legal financing industry. We pride ourselves in making all of our customers happy with our process and whether we lose prospective clients because we can’t provide concrete rates before the process, we know we will gain many others because of more competitive rates and an all around better experience.
If you are interested in finding out what type of rates we can get for your claim we ask you to simply apply online or contact us today. Because our process is without obligation, it can’t hurt.

Lawsuit Loan Funding & Why
There are specific reasons why someone would apply for lawsuit loan funding. A common theme to most lawsuit loan funding requests is “I need money immediately and how can I help speed up the process?” The main and most obvious reason is the plaintiff needs money to help pay for their bills while their case is reaching a settlement. Some clients apply for lawsuit loan funding because the case is in the early stages and a settlement offer has not yet been made. There are other clients that will apply for a lawsuit loan because the settlement offer from the insurance company is less than expected. These plaintiffs will not accept the low offer and have made a decision to continue down the path of fighting for more compensation for their claim.
We have received requests from people that need money to pay for medical expenses, mortgages and rent, investment purposes, food, car payments, divorces, vacations and even for a down payment on a home.
We recently worked with a client that had serious financial problems as a result of an accident. It was a necessity to receive a lawsuit loan to help pay of credit card debt. It was used not so much for the principal but for the high interest rates from the credit card company. By getting lawsuit loan funding the client was able to pay off his credit cards without further harming his credit score.
There is no question that insurance companies understand that Americans are financially hurting. The unemployment rate is increasing and people are now looking for ways to stay afloat until finding new jobs. We have some clients that are on the verge of losing their homes or getting evicted from their apartments because they are so far behind in payments. As a result insurance companies continue to take advantage of our financial positions by offering lower settlement offers with the understanding without settlement, they will force the case into a long litigation process.
Lawsuit loan funding is a way for the plaintiff to get money without having to settle for less. Whether you need the money to pay off credit card bills, using the money for rent or mortgage payments or need a new car, the money can be used as an alternative from taking an early settlement.
If you are currently searching for a lawsuit cash advance for any reason, LawLeaf wants to work for you.

Settlement Cash
If you are searching for a company that offers settlement cash before or after a claim has settled begin by applying online with LawLeaf. LawLeaf provides settlement cash to clients that have been involved in personal injury and commercial litigation claims. The settlement cash industry is booming due to the slow down in the economy and the unwillingness of insurance companies to provide fair settlement offers to claimants. Settlement cash is oftentimes used as a stop gap between a full payout or less than adequate settlement offer. By securing settlement cash the plaintiff will have the ability to wait longer in hopes of more compensation giving the attorney more leverage to fight for fair compensation for their client.
LawLeaf is a company that believes every person should have the right to seek fair compensation for their claim. We believe if a person is hurt physically, emotionally or financially they should be entitled to full compensation for damages. What we frown upon is insurance companies taking advantage of claimants and forcing them into smaller settlement offers. The insurance industry is making record breaking profits because they have a formula that has been working for years. They intend to take in more than they disburse. This means smaller payouts to claimants regardless of the damages. It is no coincidence that while the rest of America is hurting these insurance companies are generating record breaking years on our expense. A Settlement cash advance can now play a major role in the ability for the claimant to hold out for a larger settlement offer.
At LawLeaf we are committed to providing our clients with the best rates available to us. We believe that our clients are best served by competitive rates and faster approvals. If you are currently searching for a settlement cash advance begin by applying online with LawLeaf today.
We provide settlement cash throughout the United States: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming and the District of Columbia D.C.
Random Funding Options:
Injury Settlement
If you have been involved in an accident due to the negligence of another you may be seeking an injury settlement. An injury settlement is oftentimes the quickest and easiest way of handling a lawsuit for both the plaintiff and the defense. When a person is a victim of negligence and is injured they may seek compensation to help pay for their medical bills, loss of wages and pain and suffering. Prior to reaching an injury settlement an adjuster will look at the case and determine based upon different variables how much the settlement is worth. They may account for medical expenses, time away from work and ongoing expenses directly related to the accident. If the settlement offer is fair and both the plaintiff and defense agree upon a dollar amount the process will be much shorter, eliminating a lengthy legal process. The expenses that the defense may incur by extending out the claim may also play a part on the settlement amount.
If the plaintiff and defense can’t come to a manageable number the plaintiff has the right to hold out until the case reaches a trial. The defense and the plaintiff would rather put closure to the case however if compensation isn’t paid out in full, the plaintiff may have no choice but to decline the lower offer. Today, plaintiffs are now waiting for larger payouts because they have an option of applying for pre settlement funding. Pre settlement funding can give the plaintiff a little breathing room until an injury settlement has occurred or the case goes to court. The best thing about pre settlement funding is the monies is non recourse meaning the plaintiff is only obligated to pay back the advance if they win the case.
Insurance companies have fought against pre settlement funding because they understand having this option available a plaintiff may be more likely to not settle for less. If the claim makes it to court and the insurance company loses they will not only have to pay the claimant more money, but they will also incur legal expenses increasing the overall cost of the claim.
An injury settlement will always be the best option for a plaintiff but only if the compensation is fair and will cover both expenses incurred and potential expenses in the future such as loss of wages or ongoing medical expenses.
If you are currently searching for lawsuit funding because you are waiting for a larger injury settlement, begin by applying online with LawLeaf today.
Progression of Obtaining a Lawsuit Cash Advance
A very frequent question we receive at LawLeaf is the progression of obtaining a lawsuit cash advance. A lawsuit cash advance can mean an advance against a pending injury claim, a business ie. commercial litigation dispute, structured settlement or attorney funding. The progression begins with an application. The quickest way for LawLeaf to process your information is through an online application. The application contains very general information pertaining to your request. We use this information prior to contacting you and your attorney. Once LawLeaf receives your information the processing of information begins. Your information is passed off to one of our representatives who will evaluate your claim and immediately contact you regarding your request. Because LawLeaf works diligently in getting their clients into lawsuit cash advances quickly, this is typically the first of two conversations you will have with your representative. Once we have spoken to you regarding your request, we will be in direct contact with your attorney’s office. Our representatives will ask for certain case documents depending upon your claim. When LawLeaf receives this information from your attorney we will immediately send it to our partnered underwriters for an approval. This process typically can sometimes take less than a day. We have been successful in many cases in getting our clients approved the same day an online application is completed.
Things that can delay the application process:
- Attorney is out of the office an no one in the office has access to case documents
- We can’t get a hold of the applicant
- The pending claim is too premature meaning case documents have not yet been completed
- Applicant has not yet hired legal representation for their claim
Things that can speed up the process:
- Attorney submits case documents at the request of the client without filling out an online application
- Applicant makes the attorney aware LawLeaf will be in contact with them
- The documents are submitted soon after the initial phone call to the attorney
- The claim has already reached a settlement and claimant is awaiting for compensation (Post settlement funding)

Lawsuit Advance for Personal Injury
I applied with your company tonight around 11:00 for a lawsuit advance for my personal injury lawsuit. I applied once on this site and another time on the lawleaf.com site. I was recommended by my attorney who you’ve worked with in the past and he told me I have a really good case and should have no problem getting a lawsuit advance. My case hasn’t settled yet but I really need the cash as soon as possible. I also called and someone took down my name and information and told me someone would be in touch with me. When I asked him he said he couldn’t say if the representative would be in touch base with me tonight or not. I would prefer someone please contact me as soon as possible. I’m going to be at work tomorrow morning and I have no way of talking with them if not tonight. Please can you have someone contact me so I can get my exact information over to you now.
I will also send you an email about this too.

Lawsuit Cash Advance Ohio
I have a pending case in Ohio and have signed up for a lawsuit cash advance in the past. I was doing a little research tonight about how my case could potentially turn out and I came across one of your pages on this site. If I’m mistaken please correct me. It said that Lawleaf is getting people cash advances against their lawsuits in the state of Ohio? Is this correct or am I reading this wrong? I was involved in a personal injury case early last year and the case never did settle out of court. I am researching information regarding the steps and procedures of what to expect now that my case is going to court. After stumbling across this site, which has been rather helpful, I read about your company giving lawsuit cash advances in Ohio. This is something that I was considering last year and without any luck couldn’t get which quite frankly I never did understand. If you could please confirm this that would be awesome. For the record my case is an automobile accident and it happened in Cleveland almost a year ago. We believe that we will get a large sum of money from the insurance company although they didn’t cooperate with our request, hence, we are going to court against them. I will check back on this site later and if you can get me a cash advance against my lawsuit I will certainly apply with your company. Please let me know if there is any other information that I should provide.
Bellevue, WA Lawsuit Advance
I live in Bellevue, Washington and considering a lawsuit advance for a personal injury case. I spoke to my lawyer last week about possibly recommending a company to work with me through this process. He admitted he seldomly has clients who try to get lawsuit cash advances but did tell me about this site here. He told me to post a question regarding different companies I should apply with and I’m doing so right now. Can you give me a list of different companies that provide lawsuit cash advances in Bellevue, WA? I would like to begin applying with a couple.
Another Cash Advance for a Pre Settlement
I’ve already gotten one cash advance for my case and I’m looking to possibly get another if I can. At the time I got my first legal cash advance I didn’t realize exactly how long it would take. I got the advancement from a company that did the pre settlement advancement services. My case is in an appeals process now and I’m hoping to get a little more out of this case before it settles. My compensation is very large and my first advancement was not so much money. I really need the money right now and would like to pull an additional amount over and beyound my first advancement. Can you company provide or does any of your lenders fall into my situation?
fed ex ground
fed ex ground is involved in a nationwide class action suit where as they (fedex) keeps losing while they go up the ladder. It looks like they will settle sometime sooner than later. Waiting is frustrating. I was wondering if this is something I could get an advance on? Please let me know either way
My Lawyer isn’t cooperating
My lawyer is not cooperating with your lenders at all. I signed up for a cash advance last week and Law Leaf had two lenders contact him within an hour apart, so he says. He told me that I would be foolish to consider a lawsuit cash advance because they have high interest rates. When I explained to him I don’t have any other options and I need the money to help pay for bills, he wouldn’t cooperate. He is the same lawyer that told me not to settle my case last month because I haven’t been cleared by my therapist for my injury. I feel fine and I told him that I would be also fine if I was put in a situation of taking a little less money. While ultimately its my decision I decided to move forward with his recommendation. I told him yesterday that I was going to take the offer and now he came back and said he would be fine talking to your company, however, he only wants to talk with one lender. I am the case from Hawaii and I asked a question on this site last week. Can you just have one lender contact him so I can get this moving in the right direction?
