While we are not able to advise you legally I would assume that your attorney would have talked to you about the requested compensation amount. Are you still currently going through rehab?

Calculating the total amount for damages is not easy. Below is a list of things to consider prior to requesting an offer or accepting an offer

Pain and suffering (both physically & emotionally), loss of wages and ongoing wages, loss of consortium, medical expenses and ongoing medical expenses, out of pocket expenses, cost of aids, personal property damages including the car and physical therapy costs.

I would consider some of these items above before putting a number on a settlement offer.

Hello lawleaf
I have chronic neck pain caused by whiplash from a MVA. 7 months have past and although most of my ROM has returned to my arms the neck pain has stayed constant. A neurosurgeon has ruled out surgery but a second opinion will occur in Mar.
I have legal representation but was not shown how a figure of 500K was achieved. This amount was presented to the court despite my request to 1) see the amount 2) understand how the amount was calculated. Based on statistics I may never get better. And feel that the 500K may not be enough.
My pre accident income was 90K per year and I currently receive $3630 monthly from my LTD IRB (tax free)

Is the 500K less 30% a reasonable calculation for a case like mine?

Thank you for applying with LawLeaf. We will be in contact with you immediately. In regards to your questions. We can generally get advances from 5%-25% of the total value of your case. If you case is worth 200K there is a good chance we could get the full 25K for you (depending upon the strength of the case). If you were approved for 25K the payback amount would vary depending upon the rate and how quickly the case settled. If its a strong case the rate will be better. If the case settles fairly quickly the payback would be less than if it extended out for a year etc. It is really hard to ballpark an exact amount. Please contact us for additional information.

If the file was closed we can try to reopen the file without having to go through the doc. request process. Thanks again for contacting LawLeaf.

BC if you have been offered a settlement of 36K for your case it can only help you. When an underwriter looks at a case one of the things they will look for is if a settlement offer has been made. If a settlement has been made by the insurance company this shows the underwriter that you will eventually receive compensation for your claim. In terms of strength of case this will look good. We welcome you to apply with LawLeaf today and we will do our best obtaining you a lawsuit loan for your car accident.

When you get approved for a lawsuit loan or denied our protocol is to destroy the documents that we obtained from your lawyer. If you are going to reapply for an additional advance we will need to obtain the documents again. Thank you for applying with LawLeaf again and we will do our best in getting your case funded.

I was in a car accident September of this year. The case is going fairly quickly. No surgery but did get hurt pretty bad. Settlement offer has been made of 36K and we need more money. Will this affect my case if I apply for a lawsuit loan?

I just applied with your company because a friend of mine was approved not long ago. I applied tonight and hoping to hear back from your firm first thing tomorrow. While I'm looking around I had a few questions. I was in a car crash last year (well almost last year). I spoke to my lawyer and he told me that I would need to considering doing a lot of things before I would need to settlement my case with the insurance company of the other driver. I've completed everything and now he told me that my case is going to take longer because of a few different things which I have no idea what he is talking about. My case is probably worth around 200K+ and I need around 25K if possible. I don't know how to evaluate if you give this much but there is no doubt that I'm going to win my case. If I get the 25K how much money will i have to pay back if I win my case.

Hello again, I contacted your firm a few weeks ago and I was approved for settlement funding for my legal issue. I decided I wasn't going to need it because i thought my job was back on course. I would like to reapply because things didn't work out for me at my job. Can you tell me what I need to do or if you can just get my application and do it all over again. This time I really would like some help because I don't see an end in near future. I appreciate your hard work on this matter. Please email me.

Hi - I got a lawsuit loan from law leaf a few months ago. I want to apply for another one. Do you need me to talk to my attorney again and have him send over those documents you requested the first time or do you have them on file? I will need to get something by the end of the year if possible.

All pre settlement funding for plaintiffs is considered non recourse. Non recourse means if a company decides to lend the plaintiff a loan against a case they are doing so on at their own risk. If a plaintiff loses the case the company has lost their investment as the plaintiff doesn't pay back the loan.

A settled case would mean you have accepted the agreement from the defense. Your case would still be considered pre settlement because the case hasn't reached a settlement. We do provide funding for assault and battery cases.

We took my grandmother out of her nursing home because it was really bad. We contacted a law firm that handles negligence cases to the elderly in nursing homes. We really don't have anywhere she can stay because my mother works and I'm now working too. I'm told that we can do this but my grandmother is very very very old and I'm not even sure when talking with her she would be in the condition to answer your questions. What can we do? Will you still work with us. We have to get her into something much better and would need the money to make that happen.

I am a plaintiff in a lawsuit against a bar. I was in a brawl or got caught in the middle of one. My lawyer told me that we were going after the insurance company, bar owner etc. etc. I have been waiting for this thing to settle now for almost a year. I am going to apply with your company and would like something answered while waiting for a response. Does your companies providing funding for these types of cases? We have been offered a settlement from someone (my lawyer is very vague) but it was way too low for us. Will the rate be better because I read something about settled cases and how the rates are much better.

I read through this article and need to understand the whole recourse thing because I'm unclear. I've been reading over some sites tonight and want to get a better understanding of this industry and why I see non or no recourse funding. Can you explain to me how this is possible and what exactly does this mean because I think I'm thinking one thing and its reading another. Thank you for your response and you have a great resource of information between your sites!

I'm in serious bad shape and I need cash on a legal case. I applied with another company about 3 days ago and I've not heard back. I talked to my attorney and they never called him. I really don't understand why this is happening so I want to explain my case and see if your company will help. I was in an accident about 8 months ago and I wasn't hurt that bad but I did get some injuries. We are suing for 45K because I was out of work for about 2 months while my arm was healing. I have about 15K in medical bills to. When I talked to this company they asked me about my injuries and told me something about soft tissue and said they would talk to my lawyer which they didn't. I really need the money and need someone to call him and get the money out of the case. Can your company help me?
