Hourly basis
I am considering hiring an attorney to represent me for a injury case I had a few weeks ago. I’ve contacted several attorneys that have a range in the fees they charge for their services. I read on your site that you only work with cases, personal injury related, that have representation from a lawyer. There are several lawyers that I’ve spoken with and while I’m very comfortable with one of the lawyers, he will only work my case on an hourly basis. The others said they would be willing to take my case on a contingency fee basis.
I really like the lawyer that is on an hourly basis and seriously considering hiring him. My question is will your firm allow me to borrow money to hire this lawyer? I just think I would have a better chance winning more money with this lawyer rather than the other 2.
I don’t have the money to pay him right now and would use the money you lent me to pay him directly.
Thank you for your response

Prior to any lender loaning money you must first have the representation of a lawyer. Most companies won’t provide lawsuit funding if your attorney is not working your case on a contingency fee basis. There are some exceptions but they are rare.
So to answer your question, our lenders will not provide lawsuit funding without the representation of an attorney and usually that attorney will be on a contingent basis.
