Structured Settlement Amount of Time
Do you have information on the amount of time it takes to get a structured settlement funded? I applied with a company last week and we moved forward until they told me it could take close to six weeks before my structured settlement will get funded. I have been reading over some of the questions on this site and I see that your company gets other cases funded within a day. I’m not sure if this would pertain to my case or if these types of settlement advances are different. To be quite honest I never thought I would be in a position to have to sell my structured settlement until now. I’m not too sure if this company which from what I know is a very reputable company takes so long because they’ve got so many of these applications to process or if this is just how much time these cases take. And while I’m asking how do you compete against some of the funding companies that advertise on the internet? Do you have the experience in competiting or even beating their rates and if so how long would your company take before it could get funded? My case was an auto accident in Florida last year. Thank yuo for taking the time and answering my question. If you could answer it sooner it would really help me out in making my decision.

It generally takes about 30 days to get a structured settlement funded. The reason why is the laws that require a settlement to be purchased are very strict and does go through a legal process. As far as being able to compete with these large advertisers I would say absolutely. Some of our lenders have little overhead with minimum marketing exposure. This means they can sometimes be in a better position to give better rates. In fact, I would say the majority of the time our lenders can beat the larger structured settlement companies.
