WASHINGTON CAR ACCIDENT
I LIVE IN WASHINGTON STATE NEAR OLYMPIA AND I WAS INVOLVED IN A MINOR ACCIDENT. I WASN’T REALLY HURT AND THERE IS MINOR DAMAGE TO MY CAR. WHEN I WAS TOLD I COULD SETTLE THE CASE OUT OF COURT WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY I DECIDED THAT WAS BEST BECAUSE I ENDED UP GETTING A FEW EXTRA DOLLARS AND I JUST PURCHASED A NEW USED CAR.
THE OTHER DAY I GOT A HITCH IN MY NECK AND I ENDED UP SEEING MY FAMILY DOCTOR. HE TOLD ME IT LOOKS LIKE I MAY HAVE GOTTEN WHIPLASH. I AM NOW SET TO GET IT CHECKED OUT BY A SPECIALIST. I CALLED BACK THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND TOLD THEM THAT MY NECK WAS NOW HURTING BUT THEY TOLD ME MY CASE WAS ALREADY SETTLED. THEY ARE TELLING ME I CAN GET MORE MONEY EVEN THOUGH THESE BILLS WILL BE DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE ACCIDENT.

The short answer is if you’ve already accepted a settlement from the insurance company they will not give you additional monies at a later date. Unfortunately your case was closed once you accepted their offer and took payment.
